We had two toasts (1 ham and cheese, the other mushroom and cheese). With our dinner, Max recommend two absolutely wonderful wines. A Pinot noir and Chablis for my wife. Thank goodness it was a mile plus to walk to the apartment. Thank you ”

“ My husband and I adore this restaurant. Great location, away from the tourist areas. You'll enjoy your meal with locals. The food was amazing. The patient server kindly translated our menu and provided great suggestions on food and wine. We were fully satisfied and stuffed, yet craved for more. ”

“ We may be a bit biased, as this restaurant was the first place we ate anything at in Paris once we landed, but the cuisine was incredible and the atmosphere was cosy and hospitable. Our server spoke English very well, and eased the tension of not speaking French fluently. He was very patient, as we stayed there for hours sampling various cuisines. We ate the charcuterie to start, with a great red wine chosen by our server. I had the parmentier de Canard-duck with smashed potatoes on top, and it was stolen by my wife once she tasted it. I however, did love her dish- les Croques. A ham and cheese sandwich that is fried, smothered in cheese outside, ooh la la! We traded happily! After that she had a latte and I tried the chocolate tea. We were allowed to stay and chat without any bother. I'm sorry for those that had a bad experience here, but we will return for more. For our first Parisian meal, it was an amazing experience. Please check out this place that's off the beaten path and ready to serve with a smile. ”

“ Great hole in the wall serving delicious French tapas. The server went out of his way to translate the entire menu for us- which was so so helpful and much appreciated! We were able to order the coq au vin which came in this tasty red wine sauce and mushrooms that captured all the flavors beautifully. We followed with the "shepherds pie fish" and while good, wish we would have ordered the beef shepherds pie because that looked fantastic. The only thing I could have done without is the dessert. The apple pie was pretty soggy. Highly recommend: coq au vin, and the fish shepherds pie ”

“ The only reason I can think of as to why this place doesn't have 5 Stars is probably because it's off the beaten path. This place put out one of the best breakfasts while in Paris that it warranted a second visit. Everything ordered here was just amazing!! The French Toast sat on a bed of custard and it was not overly sweet at all, it was just right. The waffle sandwich just worked. The Croque Madam, was my favorite. You have to try this place for breakfast if you are ever in Paris. ”
